Fishing at Drovers Way
Drovers Way features two long-established lakes, just 300 meters from the caravan site, nestled in a peaceful and sheltered woodland setting. Holiday home owners interested in coarse fishing can fish for free, while day tickets are available for guests.
With the dam work now completed and the bottom lake fully restored to its natural beauty, we are able to continue our regular stocking program. These fish are thriving and providing fantastic sport for our owners, check out the photos on our Gallery page.
The two well-stocked lakes offer catch-and-release fishing for Carp, Tench, Roach, Chub, Perch, and Bream. Over the years, Carp weighing into double figures have regularly been caught in these waters.
The lakes are exclusive to Drovers Way residents, with access restricted to a small private coarse fishing syndicate, and are not open to the general public.
Wheelchair access is available to the lower lake, with additional security on the designated "pegs" and wood-chipped pathways surrounding the lake.
We also host annual fishing matches on the lake, adding a bit of friendly competition, complete with prize givings.
